MikroTik RouterOS™ is a router operating system and software which turns a regular PC into a dedicated router.
Hardware:
The RouterBOARD IN/G44V is a PCI ethernet card with four gigabit ports.
The MDI/X feature (accepts both cross-over and straight cables) can now be used on your router or server.
The IN/G44V device integrates four 10/100/1000Mbps Gigabit Ethernet ports into one card that is an ideal solution for connecting many networks to one router or for extending your network. The IN/G44V is an improved version of the RB44 gigabit four port PCI interface. This new card is based on the VIA VT6122 chipset. It supports MDI-X auto cross/straight cable detection, 10/100/1000 speeds and can be used in any operating system which has drivers for VT6122, including Windows, Linux and RouterOS.
